Thrifted Thursday

Hello! Ill be featuring finds that I snatch up at Thrift stores.  I have two thrift stores within 5 minutes from work, I love going on my lunch hour!  This week Ill be featuring a few items that I'm going to change up a bit and when I have the after pictures Ill post those as well. 

The melon color of this skirt was my favorite color in 1994.  The length and color needs to be updated.  I'm planning on dying it navy blue and taking about 6 inches off the bottom. I payed around $3 for the skirt when its all said and done It should only cost $5 to update it. And some time to shorten it.

I love the tie and stripes.  I don't particularly like the length of the sleeves.  I'm going adjust them to a cap sleeve length.  I paid $1.99 for this top.

If you haven't gone to your local thrift store I highly suggest you check it out! I have a savers, goodwill and salvation army within 15 minutes from my home.  Think of it as a way to help others and increase your wardrobe without spending much money!

Toothpaste

Hello! Thanks to all who have commented I feel so blessed and loved on! xoxo

I had the day off today! I slept in, cruised around on the computer, hung out with doggies. That was great! I had lunch with a good friend and we chatted for 3 hours in subway. Then I made a trip to Salvation Army and made out BIG! It was 1/2 off day for all clothing! I picked up so many things! All of that fun in one afternoon!  But my day off wouldn't be complete till dinner with MaryAnn & Jo. Had wonderful Italian food and even better company!
So lets move on to the outfit....

Monday blues

 I woke up Monday and had just enough of this Ohio weather.  Honestly frost on my car?!   I was  irritated with having to wear sweater tights yet again and not looking forward to Monday morning.  I was not in the mood to put together a outfit so I threw this together. Mainly because I was seeking comfort and I didn't have to think to much about how the pieces would work together.

Weekend Update

This weekend was wonderful! Spent some great time with wonderful friends and had a very lazy Sunday.  Friday a few of my girlfriends & I planned dinner and then went to watch some like it hot at the Valentine theater.  My friends are such blessings.  Love you ladies! Saturday we headed to the silent auction/talent show at my church and it was such a enjoyable time! Two little girls danced to a beautiful song and I wanted to share the song with you.

Baby Jones

My sister is 8 months pregnant and is due April 19th.  She is having a boy and I cant wait to love on my soon to be nephew!  My brother in law is very fashionable and loves to have fitted pieces and layers his clothes very well. I think he will get a kick out of this post!  Drew has been such a blessing to our family and I know he will be a wonderful father.

Happy Wednesday! Half way through the work week!  Today while it rained in northwest Ohio I daydreamed about summer fun.  This outfit would go perfect from beach to bbq.  Im in love with chambray.  I currently own two chambray tops and live in them!  So this dress would be a perfect summer choice!

Give & Get

Today is the last day for Give & Get at Gap.  I just returned from my shopping trip and picked up a couple cute pieces.  I would have love to picked up a few more, but have been doing plenty of shopping lately.  Good news is I had store credit then 30% off. So my total was $10.92! Cant beat that! If you have the coupon make sure to go today!

I picked those high waisted jeans up on Wednesday and I'm pretty sure that the colorblock tee will be the first thing Ill pair the jeans with.  Did you pick anything up this weekend?
