dear lil

While in Hocking Hills in May I found a darling autograph book in one of the stores.  The year is 1939 and it is filled of messages for their dear friend Lillian Greene.  I had dinner tonight with a couple of my closest girlfriends from high school.  We try to get together once a month for dinner and dessert.  Tonight's dinner was at Katie's house and it was wonderful time.  Katie & Laura's husbands were there along with Katie's son Myles.  He is a cutie that I enjoyed playing games with after dessert.

Here is our pic from tonight:

The little autograph book warms my heart just like my friends.  I spent plenty of summer days talking about boys, rollerblading and prank calling with these girls.  I'm so thankful they are still in my life.

I wanted to share one of my favorite entries from LIl's autograph book:
Dear Lillian
When you get married and have twins dont come to my house for safety pins
Yours Forever,
Dorothy Warnick

Until next time,
Stacia Lee

  1. That autograph book sounds absolutely amazing, Stacia! :) What a find and it really must make you think about how things have changed and how some things definitely stay the same. :)

I'm also glad to hear you're still close to your childhood friends! That's always the best feeling to know that you have old friends with whom you've shared so much!

P.S. - Ahhh safety pins!!! What other good snippets are from the book?

  2. Stacia, That book sounds amazing, can't wait for dinner at your house so you can show it off!

Yes I remember fondly those days.. Do you remember the "PHC club" and the Official cups we had to have to be a member... LOL I came across my cup the other day and started laughing so hard.

I am so very happy to have you in my life as well - Laura

  3. what treasures! the little autograph book and dear friends : )
